Maine Maritime Academy Arts and Artifacts Military Print Summer 1892

You are offerding on a print depicting United States Army training in the summer of 1892. This print shows a group of at least nine soldiers standing while facing the outside of a group circle. Each is holding a rifle fixed with a bayonet. Based on the white helmets, I believe this to be a print showing officers during training.

The print is on paper which is taped in the corners to a border. The entire print with the border is nearly five and a quarter by eight and a quarter inches. The caption at the bottom of the print reads, “Infantry, summer uniform, 1892.” The back of the print is a piece of paperboard which has a Maine Maritime Academy Arts & Artifacts sticker. The number on the sticker is 0649. This may have once belonged to Maine Maritime and was possibly in their storage collection.

The borders of the frame have some wear to them and there is some dirt spots. This print looks great in its border and would be perfect for framing. It was found in a rural antique barn in Maine. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions about this piece.
