MUSEUM RARE 32 Piece Symphony Set Antique German Mercury Glass Horn Ornaments For Sale

Item Description:An extraordinary, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the advanced holiday collector.
Up for sale is a stunning, perfectly balanced "Symphony Collection" of 32 authentic antique hand-blown mercury glass musical instrument ornaments, dating from the late Victorian era through the 1920s. To find a single open-mouthpiece horn ornament intact today is rare; to uncover a matching, master-artisan hoard of thirty-two pieces from the same family workshop is a true artifact of holiday history.
Crafted by master glassblowers in the legendary cottage-industry workshops of Lauscha, Germany, and the Bohemia region, these pieces are entirely free-blown by hand. Because they completely bypassed modern factory molds, every single instrument possesses its own unique flair, curve, and artistic personality.
A Perfectly Balanced Thirty-Two-Piece Set Includes:• Sixteen Coiled French Horns: The undisputed crown jewels of this collection. A tight, hollow glass spiral is the absolute pinnacle of difficulty for a traditional glassblower. These feature deep, beautiful bells and an incredible presence on a tree branch.
• Sixteen Straight Herald Trumpets: Striking, elongated ceremonial trumpets featuring rare, hand-fused glass finger-loops on the side of the main stems, mimicking real military and royal procession horns.
Masterful Historical Details:• Authentic Open Mouthpieces: Every piece features the highly desirable, traditional fire-polished, rounded open edge. The artisan swirled the original silvering formula through these openings over a century ago.
• Hand-Fused Glass Hanging Loops: Rather than relying on standard metal caps or fragile plaster fills, the glassblower fused solid glass hanging loops directly onto the rims of the bells.
Condition Report for the Discerning Collector:• Authentic Antique Patina: In excellent antique condition, especially considering the extreme fragility of free-blown glass.
• Historical Character: Each piece showcases beautiful, honest age characteristics, including mild tarnish, gentle silvering loss, and the wonderful, slight glass irregularities inherent to true handmade items of the era.
• Structural Integrity: Free from modern breaks, structural cracks, or repairs. They have been preserved beautifully as a single family heirloom lot.White-Glove Shipping & Handling:Given the immense historical value and extreme fragility of these double-open-ended instruments, they will be packaged with the utmost care. Each ornament will be wrapped individually in premium, acid-free tissue paper, nestled securely in protective cushioning, and shipped via a specialized double-box method to guarantee flawless arrival.
