VIVID & BRIGHT, classic, hard to find 3 COLORMILLER CANYON specimen(Nelly James Mine), Huachuca Mountains, Az.
The specimen consists of abright orangecalcite (SW)and a CIRCUMFERENTIAL BAND OF BRIGHT GREEN WILLEMITE w/ minor powellite(SW yellow-white).
Photos 1-14 are under short wave . The powellite is highlighted in photos 12 & 13.
The willemite displays a skosh of phosphorescence upon withdrawal of the SW lamp. Please see photo 14.
The LW fluorescence is shown in the last two photos..
Short wave photos taken with with Super Bright lamp.
Please note special UV light /lamps mandatory to visualize the fluorescence. The stronger the lamp, the brighter the fluorescence! Any purple is reflected light.
