M1874 69th NY Infantry (Irish) Clothing/ Haversack W/lLeather Straps NAMED TWICE For Sale

Inspector marked “waterleivt arsenal”.

This early M1874 haversack has the original leather on the outter rims & the leather straps. This is a very authentic M1874 - from The 69th NY Infantry (Irish) clothing and haversack bag with leather straps intact.

Haversacks were utilized multiple time by different soldiers. It was a common practice.

This collectible (I Believe) is tied to the two conflicts - Indian Wars of 1866-97, and the Spanish American War 1898 and maybe into the Occupation of 1902. making it a unique piece of militaria history.

This haversack holds the names of two soldiers - H Wilhelm and

E A Gaffney (Irish) The State Of NY had an outfit, made mostly of Irish Immigrants.
