Offering my 100% genuine signature of WWII Catalina pilot Lt.(jg) ROBERT SCOTT WHITMAN, USN (1916-1942 KIA). Whitman\'s first duty assignment out of Annapolis was aboard the USS Quincy (CA-39). By 1941 he was serving as a PBY Catalina pilot with VP-44 (PATRON-44. He was KIA on 4 JUNE 1942 at the Battle of Midway when a Japanese aircraft shot him down. There were no survivors and no remains were ever recovered. He was awarded a posthumous Purple Heart. Signed 1939 USNA yearbook photo/bio. Good shape w/ normal signs of ageSize = 4.25\" x 3.25\".
