Outstanding vintage signed aviation photograph of pilot Lewis Starno.
Starno is photographed standing at the open cockpit of a military aircraft wearing flight helmet and goggles, leather flight jacket, parachute harness and other flight equipment.
Personally signed \"Lewis\" in blue ink at the lower right.
This photograph came from a small group of three different photographs of the same pilot, each bearing a Lewis signature. Another photograph in the group is identified on the reverse in period handwriting as \"Lewis Starno – Friend.\"
Lewis Starno\'s exact military branch, unit, rank and service history have not yet been independently established, so no specific wartime unit or combat history is being claimed.
