Large 20" Antique Victorian Silver Plate Pink Opalescent Glass Epergne Vase For Sale

Magnificent 20” Antique Victorian / Art Nouveau Pink Opalescent Glass & Silverplate Epergne Centerpiece**

Up for sale or purchase is this exceptionally large and impressive 20-inch antique single-trumpet epergne centerpiece vase. This parlor-scale statement piece beautifully marries the romanticism of Victorian art glass with the elaborate organic flow of the Art Nouveau movement.

The centerpiece features a stunning, substantial hand-blown art glass trumpet insert. The glass boasts a gorgeous clear-to-pink/cranberry body transitioning to a deeply crimped, ruffled opalescent white rim. The bottom of the trumpet features a thick, molded clear-glass tapered peg engineered to slide directly and securely into the metal base receptacle.

The weighted metal base stands out with highly detailed, crisp embossed floral and acanthus leaf scrollwork, flanked by prominent double-scrolled side handles. The underside is protected by a vintage felt lining to secure its weight and prevent scratches to tabletops.
