LEGAL AMERICAN EAGLES UNITE TO PROCLAIM THE CYBERNET LEGAL EDC!
the Cybernet was developed to solve a structural and legal paradox in everyday carry (EDC) cutlery. While the linear deployment of out-the-front knives offers unmatched speed and compact axial packagingThe mechanical architecture of the Cybernet eliminates stored-energy components entirely. By omitting internal drive springs, secondary sears, and actuator linkages, the platform is driven solely by user manual force applied directly to a sliding thumb actuator.Thismechanical design ensures that the knife is classified legally as a standardmanual folding pocketknife
Rather than an automatic switchblade, granting it unrestricted retail sale and legal carry viability across all fifty U.S. states and many foreign jurisdictions.
MORE COOL CYBERNET FACTS:
Kershaw selected AISI D2 tool steel for the Cybernet's blade to resolve the Edge-Life Limitations common to entry-level Utility Knives. with substantially greater longevity than Steels like Popular but Cheaper Knife Metals, Such As 8Cr13MoV.
The blade geometry is configured around a 2.4-inch spear point profile featuring a broad flat grind and an unsharpened top swedge. The single-edged geometry preserves utility and field safety while maintaining legal classification outside dagger and dirk restrictions.
PERFECT FOR SOME BOX CUTTIN':
Kershaw sharpens the secondary cutting bevel to a 22-degree included angle per side, a profile engineered for edge stability, impact resistance, and tip integrity rather than fine culinary slicing. The blade features a two-tone surface treatment consisting of vertical satin grain along the grinds and a tumbled stonewash across the flats, an aesthetic combination that suppresses the appearance of lateral scratching sustained during utility cutting.
BLADE DEPLOYMENT ANSWERED:
The operational sequence begins with the user applying downward thumb pressure directly onto the sprung button, depressing an internal plunger spring to clear the rear mechanical locking detent. Once this vertical resistance is bypassed, continued forward thumb thrust manually translates the entire blade carriage along precision internal guide tracks milled into the stainless steel chassis. As the blade reaches its full 2.4-inch extension, the plunger spring expands upward, driving the lock bolt securely into an internal forward detent pocket. This engagement mechanically arrests blade movement along both the longitudinal deployment axis and the lateral planes. To retract the blade, the user depresses the button a second time to release the forward detent, physically pulls the slider rearward along the channel, and releases pressure as the plunger re-seats into the closed resting detent.
