This book was originally given toMarion Edwena Kenworthy, a distinguished 20th century psychoanalyst. Robinson and Patterson worked together for the civil rights movement in America.
Because the signature has been preserved inside of a book, this is the best looking signature of Jackie Robinson that can be found anywhere. Signed books of him are very scarce.

Condition notes:
The slightly bowed boards show minor soiling and bumping to the spine ends. The dust jacket has some wear, rubbing, mild soiling, chipping to its extremities, a few small tears, and minor wrinkling. There is foxing to the dust jacket.The edges of the text block show minor soiling and foxing, and there are a few spots of foxing on the last page, otherwise the text is clean throughout. Mark from previous bookplate on the interior front paste down.
