HOWARD SCHWARZMAN'S "SATORI W/ SUPER MENTO PAD" — ADD A NUMBER PAD FROM GERMANY WITH KILLER PRESENTATION BY SATORI.“This pad has stood the test of time and it works really well. The Satori routine is probably the best version of the classic add-a-number I've seen, the most convincing one out there, because it has a lot of extra convincers built into it. If you had to buy one of these pads, I would recommend the Super Mento Pad.” — MagicOrthodoxy“Without question the top selling Add A Number pad we have sold at Stevens Magic for many years. Hands down, this is the number one choice of true workers.” — Stevens Magic Emporium

You begin by displaying a prediction, which can be sealed inside an envelope or written boldly on a board, and you set it aside in full view of the crowd. You then introduce a simple, dark green notepad and toss it directly out into the audience. Because the pad is very high quality (and "inspection proof" - hint, hint!) you can freely toss it out into the audience with absolute confidence, ensuring no one discovers the "secret." Such free handling of the audience elevates this into "miracle territory" once your impossible prediction is made public. Back to the effect...
Several different spectators are asked to participate in the experiment. As the pad is passed through the crowd, each person opens it and writes a random three- or four-digit number on the paper. The pad handles naturally in their hands. The pad feels, acts, and looks completely innocent.
After the numbers are recorded, a final spectator is handed the pad. This person is asked help you: they are to add all the written numbers together that the spectators have written... and call out the grand total for everyone to hear. When your prediction is finally revealed, it perfectly matches the spectators' freely generated number!
