Iridescent Pyrite with Quartz — Indonesia

This substantial 201 g specimen combines bold metallic pyrite with a dense field of clear to milky quartz crystals. Several large, sharply formed pyrite crystals rise prominently above the quartz, surrounded by numerous smaller crystals distributed throughout the piece.

The pyrite has strong metallic luster and visibly striated faces that flash gold, bronze, deep green, blue, and occasional pink as the viewing angle changes. The largest crystals create immediate visual impact, while the smaller pyrite formations tucked between the quartz reward a closer look.

Quartz covers multiple sides of the matrix, ranging from fine, slender points to larger terminated crystals. One side emphasizes the richly colored pyrite, while another reveals a sparkling bed of quartz with metallic crystals rising through it. This gives the piece more than one attractive display position.

An excellent Indonesian combination specimen with bold crystal size, strong contrast, and plenty of detail.
