Original photogravure by artist Edward Curtis. Titled “The Village - Hooper Bay” with a copyright of 1928. From his North American Indian Vol. 20, this is plate #699. I am not an expert on these, but from my research this is an original. It is paper & cardstock material. Not sure if that’s how it originally was made or if long ago someone mounted it to cardstock for protection. As you can see there is darkening and discoloration with age. This includes some lighter streaks and spots throughout. The image is still extremely displayable and clear. No rips / bends / tears, very solid. I took photos against white paper to show it best. What you see is what you get, ask any questions prior to offerding. I have other photogravures from this collection I will post once I see how this one goes. Happy to be educated if anyone has any additional info. Offers welcome
