Here is a new, unopened copy of David Wright's Carol Day: Riverside Racket. When we published the book, it was limited to 175 copies, enough to cover our pre-orders, plus a few extras for ourselves. This is one of our personal copies.

Carol Day is a wonderful comic strip, with its combination of sophisticated stories, rounded characters and always magnificent art, the series transcends even the best American strips of the time, and yet, despite being sold internationally, was never syndicated in the United States.

According to Patrick Wright, David's son, “even though the Hearst Newspaper did attempt to head-hunt my father in the early 1950s, it was felt Carol Day was too sophisticated for the American market!”

We wanted to give readers the opportunity to savour the original art and to enjoy one of David Wright's best stories. To that end we reproduced the story entirely from the original art and in the same size as the originals, making this as close to viewing the original art as possible.
