Consolidated Motor Lines Truck Autocar Garage Mechanics c1940s Photo 1990s Print For Sale

This is a silver gelatin photograph that is unmounted and is approximately 10 x 8 inches (254x203mm).

It shows a high-angle interior view of a large industrial workshop where several men are servicing a tractor-trailer. The truck cab displays \'Autocar Diesel\' on the side of the bonnet and a circular logo on the door. The trailer features large lettering reading \'CONSOLIDATED MOTOR LINES\', \'SERVING NEW ENGLAND & MIDDLE ATLANTIC STATES\', and \'ESTABLISHED 1907\'. Workers in overalls are positioned around the vehicle; one man is kneeling on the trailer roof, while others are painting or detailing the side panels and inspecting the rear tyres. The garage features high ceilings with steel trusses and a wall of large multi-pane industrial windows in the background. Additional truck cabs are visible in the rear of the facility.

The print appears to have been made in the 1990s
