Cleo Hartwig Peace Dove Sculpture Mid Century Modern Signed 1960s 9” Original For Sale

This is the classic streamlined modernist bird form associated with American sculptor Cleo Hartwig. The sculpture is molded/incised“C. HARTWIG”on the underside, along with additional molded copyright/studio markings.

The dove is finished in an ivory/white tone and mounted on a black rectangular base. It has a substantial, heavy construction and weighs approximately5.8 lbs, consistent with the dense cast composite/marbelite-type material seen in vintage Hartwig examples.
