This delightful storyteller was crafted by Jemez potter Carol Vigil. It shows two bear cubs clinging to their mama. It stands 4 1/4\" tall by 3\" front to back and 2 3/4\" side to side. It is signed C. Vigil, Jemez. This vintage storyteller is in great all original condition. This looks to be one of Carol\'s earlier pieces.

Carol has been making pottery since the early 1980s. Over the years she’s participated in the Santa Fe Indian Market, the Heard Museum Guild Indian Art Fair in Phoenix and the Colorado Indian Market in Denver. Her pottery has earned one Best in Division ribbon and two Best in Category ribbons in Santa Fe. Some of her pieces are on display at the Smithsonian Institute’s National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC.
