CRKT Edgie 6442 Pocket Knife Discontinued Self Sharpening Wharncliffe Excellent For Sale

A Rare, Discontinued Modern CollectibleIntroduced by Columbia River Knife & Tool 2006 and discontinued shortly after around 2010, the original CRKT Edgie Model 6442 has become an exceptionally rare find on the secondary collector market. Built on a unique patent by Maj. Howard Pope and refined by legendary custom knifemaker Steve Jernigan, it represents a brief era of highly innovative tool design. Complete specimens in this excellent condition are increasingly difficult to track down.Key Features & Collector Benefits

• Built-In Self-Sharpening System: Features an internal, spring-loaded 400-grit diamond-coated sharpener tucked inside the handle liner. Every single time you manually open or close the blade, the cutting edge is automatically honed. This creates a microscopic single-sided chisel burr that stays sharp forever and rips effortlessly through cardboard, rope, and straps.
• Wharncliffe Utility Blade: Precision crafted from highly rust-resistant 420J2 stainless steel. The straight cutting edge maximizes contact surface area, while the down-curved spine provides elite tip control while preventing accidental punctures. Features an elegant oval thumb hole for smooth, manual one-handed deployment.
• Tough InterFrame Handle Construction: Built with dual stainless steel liners and heavy-duty back-springs, clad in indestructible injection-molded black Zytel (Glass-Reinforced Nylon). The deeply checkered center inlay inserts provide aggressive grip friction even in wet conditions.
• Legally Compliant Slip-Joint Design: A non-locking friction folder held open securely by mechanical spring pressure. This allows it to comfortably clear everyday-carry knife laws in restrictive regions. Outfitted with a strong, removable stainless steel pocket clip set for right-hand, tip-down carry.
