CHICAGO FIRE BADGE C.H. HANSON CO ENGINEER OBSOLETE 1910 - 1928 FIREFIGHTER IL For Sale

An antique badge from the 1910s to the late 1920s. Thanks for looking.

Chronological Evidence of its age:

• The Design Standard: While the layout follows the classic 1892 CFD uniform regulations, the textured background details and specific font style align with early-20th-century production updates.

• The Catch Mechanism: The open "C-clasp" on the reverse side safely places the badge's production prior to the 1930s, when safety-locking flip catches became standard to prevent badges from falling off heavy turnout gear.

• The Manufacturer Stamp: The arched typographic stamp used by The C.H. Hanson Co. represents the peak era of their historical contracts providing municipal badges to the City of Chicago.
