The British 1845 Pattern Infantry Officer’s Sword was introduced during the reign of Queen Victoria, replacing the earlier 1822 and 1831 patterns. It marked a transition in British military sword design—combining combat functionality with ornate Victorian style.
This replica of the British 1845 Infantry Officers Sword has a tempered blade of high carbon steel which is etched and embellished with the symbology of the British Royalty and of the British Empire. The hilt is brass and the grip of wood is overlaid in leather and inlaid with twisted copper wire. The sword comes with a steel scabbard with steel hanging rings.
