Two Hand Carved, Wood Birds Sculpture ona heavy WalnutBurl,MCM, Vintage
Each Bird has stiff wire legs that push into holes and/or a crease in burl. The birds will be removed from the burl during shipping.
The first picture is how it sits on the table naturally, the other shots are to show different angles.
Pictures 15 and 16 show where the bird had a close call with a cat. We could have shortened the tail but decided to leave it for the new owner to decide. It resembles several types of bird, so we refrained from making judgment.
Without packaging the sculpture weighs approximately 1 pound 13 ounces.
The bottom is cut flat, does not have any covering and is finished like the rest of the burl.
