Aug 1937 African American Men Group Portrait Black Americana Photo For Sale

An original vintage black and white photograph of five young African American men in white shirts posed on a lawn, a large multi-story apartment or institutional building rising behind them. The back carries a faint photo-finisher's stamp reading "AUG 1937" (with the code "024H") — a genuine pre-war group portrait and a fine piece of Black Americana vernacular photography.
The photograph measures 5 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches and has deckled edges; one corner is folded and there is light age wear. No writing on the front.
