Beautiful antique World War I patriotic silk embroidery dating to approximately 1917–1919. This large French souvenir textile features crossed American and French flags, a decorative laurel wreath, colorful floral embroidery, and the inscription “Souvenir de France.”

These embroidered silk souvenirs were popular keepsakes among American soldiers serving in France during WWI.
