Antique W.E. Drislane Albany, New York amber glass bottle with its original lightning-style wire-bail stopper.
Beautiful, exceptionally clean example with strong, crisp embossing. The front is embossed "W. E. DRISLANE / ALBANY, N.Y." and the bottle also bears the Clyde Glass Works / Clyde, N.Y. markings. The reverse is embossed "NOT TO BE SOLD."
This is a pint-size, strap-sided amber bottle with a rounded shoulder and original glass stopper/metal wire-bail closure. The original closure remains intact and functional, with attractive natural age patina to the metal.
CONDITION: Excellent antique condition. No chips, no cracks and no flea bites. The glass is remarkably clean with strong embossing. There may be minor age-related surface marks consistent with an antique bottle, and the metal closure shows natural oxidation/patina. Please examine all photos carefully—they show the exact bottle and stopper you will receive.
Approximately 9½–10" tall including stopper.
A fantastic piece for an antique bottle, Albany/New York history, whiskey bottle, breweriana, glass collecting or early American bottle collection.
Bottle and original stopper only. Empty.
