Beautiful antique walnut or walnut-finished wood portrait frame dating approximately to the late Victorian/early 20th century.
Features a distinctive deep recessed circular portrait opening surrounded by turned wood molding, a rectangular beveled outer frame, and subtle hand-incised curved decoration at the corners. Wonderful rich brown finish and aged patina.
Approximately 10" x 8" overall with an approximately 4–4½" round visible portrait opening.
Back retains old paper/backing remnants consistent with age. No maker's mark found.
Condition: Antique condition with age-related surface scratches, finish wear, small marks and patina as photographed. Glass is not present. Please review photos closely for condition.
