Antique Primitive Hand Carved Wooden Butter Stamp Mold Round Cow Sheep Folk Art:
$125.00

Antique Primitive Hand-Carved Wooden Butter Stamp.
This authentic piece of early American kitchen Americana features an exceptionally detailed, deeply incised folk-art carving of an animal (appears to be a cow or sheep) surrounded by stylized stalks of wheat/foliage and finished with a classic notched border. The back features a beautifully turned, solid wooden handle integration.
Condition: Excellent primitive folk-art character with a gorgeous, dark natural age patina. Please note there is an honest, age-related split / hairline crack extending from the face up into the back side of the stamp base (as pictured). This is a very common occurrence in genuine 19th-century treenware due to natural wood shrinkage and does not compromise the display integrity of this fantastic item. Please review all photos carefully as they form part of the condition description.
