Vintage/Antique Palmer House Chicago Stanley Insulated Hotel Carafe / Decanter – No. 1362
Fantastic piece of Chicago hotel history!
Large vintage Stanley insulated beverage carafe originally made for the historic Palmer House Hotel in Chicago, Illinois. The front is engraved “PALMER HOUSE – CHICAGO” beneath the hotel\'s classic wreath and “P” insignia.
The base is individually numbered 1362, believed to have been a hotel inventory/service number.
Bottom is marked STANLEY – “It Will Not Break” – Made in U.S.A. and carries Stanley patent information including the historic September 2, 1913 patent date associated with Stanley’s early all-steel vacuum insulation technology.
Approximately 13 inches tall based on photographed measurement.
Beautiful substantial bottle-form design with removable stopper and bright polished silver-tone finish. A wonderful survivor of early American luxury hotel service and an excellent display piece for collectors of Chicago history, Palmer House memorabilia, hotel restaurant ware, Stanley advertising, or vintage barware.
Vintage condition with expected surface scratches, scuffs, small marks, tarnish/finish wear and signs of institutional use consistent with age. Please review photographs carefully for condition. Interior/insulating performance has not been tested.
