Beautiful clear crystal pressed-glass compote by A.H. Heisey & Company, featuring the distinctive #1225 Plain Band, also known as Sawtooth Band, pattern. Heisey references document #1225 as an early pattern introduced in 1897, and collector references specifically document the footed compote form.
The piece is marked on the underside with the Heisey Diamond H trademark, which is clearly visible in the photos. The Diamond H was introduced by Heisey around 1900.
The compote has a graceful pedestal stem, wide bowl, and detailed bands around the bowl and rim. The small bead-like detailing around the upper edge is consistent with documented uncovered #1225 compotes.
