Ray manufactured commercial and institutional metalware during the early twentieth century, including decorative pieces associated with hotels, restaurants, and public venues.
The underside bears the Geo. A. Ray Mfg. Co. factory mark. A separate hand-scratched inscription appears to include the date 1914 along with initials or other lettering that is difficult to interpret. The scratched date is documented as found and is not claimed as the factory manufacturing date.
