This museum-quality piece of Victorian culinary history is an antique heavy-gauge copper double boiler insert pan dual-stamped by the legendary coppersmith firm Benham and the luxury department store Harrods of London. The upper rim features the crisp, authentic Harrods Ltd retail stamp, while the handle mount bears the coveted BS coppersmith hallmark stamp. Dating to the late 19th century, this premier piece showcases an authentic hand-brazed dovetailed (cramp) seam construction along the bottom, proving its magnificent handmade British craftsmanship. Designed with a distinctive raised center nesting ridge, it features a rugged cast-iron handle secured by flush copper rivets and a traditional hand-wiped tin lining. Retaining a deep, rich aged patina, this rare dual-marked dovetailed copper vessel is an elite centerpiece find for serious historic kitchenware collectors
