Up for sale is a truly monumental, executive-scale Austrian desk set from the early 20th century Art Deco period. This museum-quality set is crafted from a massive, beautifully veined slab of genuine green onyx and features multi-patinated Vienna bronze figures of Borzoi (Russian Wolfhounds).
This is a rare, multi-piece set that has managed to stay together for nearly a century. It includes:
1. Grand Double Inkwell: Features two hinged, onyx-capped ink pots and two exquisitely detailed, large-scale bronze Borzoi figures. Stamped "AUSTRIA" cleanly into the stone.
2. Matching Rocker Blotter: A separate, heavy green onyx and brass hand blotter featuring a third matching recumbent Borzoi bronze figure.
