Antique 5FT Large Wood Wall Rosary Crucifix Bethlehem Olive w/ Carved Rose Beads:
$39.99

Condition - PLEASE READ:

This is in antique, found condition with age wear. I am pricing accordingly.

1. Cracked Cross: The crucifix has a stable crack/split through the crossbar, visible on both front and back. The back has a light wood repair/support piece glued over the center. Still solid, but cracked.

2. Cracked Heart: The heart center has a V-shaped split/crack.

3. Wood Loss / Wear: Some smaller beads show finish loss, small chips, and age darkening as shown in close-ups. One bead shows a lighter gouge.

4. Patina: Brass corpus has verdigris and wear, wood has scuffs and age.

All flaws are shown in high-res photos. What you see is what you get. No missing beads, wire is intact, ready to hang and display.

A wonderful, authentic antique devotional piece you don't see every day in this size.

Shipping with care.

Up for sale is a beautiful and massive antique wooden rosary, often called a Convent, Monastery, or Wall Rosary. At 5 feet long, this was made to hang on a wall, on a door, or around a large statue - not to be worn.

Features:

• Large Hand-Carved Dark Wood Beads: 53+ large torpedo / olive shaped beads with beautiful patina and grain. Linked with original wire.

• 7 Ornate Pater Beads: Large, openwork hand-carved rose / floral pattern beads separating the decades.

• Heart Centerpiece: Unique carved wooden heart center connector with textured pattern.

• Large Carved Crucifix: Dark wood cross with carved foliate detail on front and stamped brass corpus (INRI). The back of the cross is stamped "INRI" at top and "TRUE" vertically on the stem - indicating "True Cross" relic style. Features a light wood inlay strip down the back.

• Impressive Size: Measures approx. 60" long from top of loop to bottom of cross when hanging. See last photo for scale against wall mount.

This is a true folk-art religious antique with incredible age and character, perfect for a chapel, prayer room, farmhouse Catholic decor, or collection.
