Antique 19thC Chinoiserie Reticulated Plate Hand Painted Faience Earthenware 5:
$85.00

Stunning 19th-century European earthenware display plate featuring an intricate, hand-cut reticulated (pierced) border and a vibrant Chinoiserie landscape. The scene depicts traditional pagodas, a river boat, and mountains, executed in a crisp transferware pattern beautifully filled with hand-painted polychrome enamels.

The back features a hand-painted blue decorator’s mark "5" and an impressed incised potter’s mark (resembling a lowercase "y" or cross) beneath the glaze. Features beautiful, authentic fine age crazing that highlights its antique history. Delicate basketweave detailing along the border. Excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks to the fragile reticulated edge. Very minor paint wear. Perfect for a gallery wall or Chinoiserie collection.
