Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic 1920s Seth Thomas \"Essex\" model beehive/gothic mantel clock. Made in Thomaston, Connecticut, this classic timepiece features a gorgeous mahogany case with elegant golden inlay detailing and a cathedral spiral wire gong mechanism. It retains its rare, highly sought-after original \"Essex\" factory paper label fully intact on the underside. This clock is being sold as-found for restoration, repair, or parts.Condition Details (Please Read Carefully):

• Mechanical Status: The clock is currently not working and will require a professional horological service, cleaning, or oiling to run again.
• Case & Face Aesthetics: Displays honest, age-appropriate cosmetic wear. The mahogany veneer has natural finish crazing, minor scuffs, and character marks consistent with a 100-year-old antique. The silvered dial face shows light oxidation and surface scuffs around the winding arbors.
• Back Door Latch: The hinged wood back door is intact but does not firmly latch shut. The internal latch mechanism will need a minor adjustment or alignment work.
• Key & Pendulum: The original factory winding key is not included. However, it has been successfully tested using a modern 5-in-1 universal key, which functions perfectly on the winding arbors. The original heavy lead pendulum bob is present and included inside the case.
• Historical Marks: The bottom retains vintage service markings hand-written by a clock technician dated November 1977 (1177).
