**Premium Antique 1913-1914 Pennsylvania Fraternal History Archive**

**Improved Order of Red Men (Otzinachson Tribe No. 419 - Renovo, PA)**

**Includes Rare Ritual Regalia RPPC, Ledger Documents, and Envelope**

Up for sale/sale is a museum-quality, 4-piece interconnected archive from the Improved Order of Red Men (Imp. O. R. M.), documenting the local chapter based in the historic railroad town of Renovo, PA (Clinton County). All pieces belonged directly to lodge member Allison J. Riter and offer an incredible, complete look into early 20th-century secret society life in Central Pennsylvania.

**What is Included in This Premium Master Archive:**

1. **Rare Ritual Regalia Real Photo Postcard (RPPC):** A stunning studio portrait of a four-man "Degree Team" or ritual guard in full ceremonial uniforms. The men wear fringed tunics, headbands with feathers, and ritual wigs. One man holds a pennant faintly reading "Wilkes-Barre." The reverse features a crisp "The Shukis Studios (Wilkes-Barre and Plymouth, PA)" printed credit and an unposted CYKO stamp box (c. 1914). Photographic clarity and contrast are spectacular.

2. **Official Internal Account Statement Sheet (Dated March 21, 1914):** A rare ledger page detailing Mr. Riter's financial balance with the Otzinachson Tribe No. 419. It tracks assessments in full fraternal terminology, including "funeral assessments" and dues calculated by "Suns" ("26 Seven Suns dues"). Beautiful original ink script.

3. **Quarterly Statement Dues Card (Dated Dec 31, 1913):** Signed on the reverse by the "Collector of Wampum" (the fraternal society's historical title for their treasurer), showing outstanding dues in arrears.

4. **Original Tribe Corner-Card Envelope:** Stamped with a striking red graphic of the American Eagle and the order's motto, "Freedom, Friendship, Charity." Addressed directly to Allison J. Riter in Renovo, PA.

**Historical Value:**

Finding an early American fraternal paper trail intact is rare, but finding it paired with the exact photograph of the members in their specific lodge regalia is extraordinary. The Improved Order of Red Men modeled their terminology and rituals on romanticized, era-specific interpretations of Native American customs, making these items highly prized artifacts of American social and fraternal history.

An exceptional centerpiece lot for serious collectors of American secret societies (Masons, Odd Fellows, Red Men), early occupational/costume photography, or Clinton/Luzerne County, PA history.
