Rare original 2018 Dark Horse Books oversized deluxe hardcover omnibus compilation volume, Aliens Predator Prometheus AVP: The Complete Life and Death. This massive, heavy-duty hardbound masterpiece collects the ultimate follow-up story cycle to Fire and Stone, surviving in outstanding, collector-grade condition. Crucially, Dark Horse Books executed a single, strictly limited print run of this deluxe hardcover edition in September 2018; it has since gone entirely Out of Print (OOP), making this specific 1st Edition, First Printing copy an absolute \"white whale\" grail piece for serious modern science-fiction comic collectors.
This premium 440-page graphic novel omnibus neatly binds together the entire 17-issue crossover timeline into one definitive reading experience. The collected contents include the full runs of: Prometheus: Life and Death #1–#4, Aliens: Life and Death #1–#4, Predator: Life and Death #1–#4, Alien vs. Predator: Life and Death #1–#4, and the concluding Prometheus: Life and Death – Final One-Shot climax comic. This entire expansive narrative was written by the legendary, best-selling sci-fi author Dan Abnett (Warhammer 40K, Guardians of the Galaxy), featuring breathtaking, cinematic interior illustration work by premier industry artists Brian Albert Thies, Andrea Mutti, and Moritat. The front and back boards showcase a gorgeous, aggressive wrap-around oil-painted cover illustration by master sci-fi painter David Palumbo, depicting an armored Predator Hunter locked in mortal combat with a Xenomorph. The lower margin of the reverse panel houses the original factory retail price markers of $49.99 US / $65.99 CAN directly above the corporate registration block and ISBN 978-1-50670-678-8.
The book stands in exceptional Very Good condition. The heavy, dark spine framework is completely tight and un-cracked, the thick hardcover board corners remain remarkably sharp and square without terminal impact crushing, and the interior 440-page paper block edges are brilliantly crisp and white. To ensure maximum long-term conservation value and protect the high-gloss cover faces against ambient shelf friction, this premium book comes securely bagged. The internal page block is completely clean, white, and immaculate, carrying zero edge foxing, reader thumb oil stains, interior markings, or dog-eared pages. The spine is perfectly square, tight, and un-cracked, proving the heavy book has never been heavily opened or flat-stressed. The front and back illustrated boards are wonderfully smooth and flat with crisp, razor-sharp edges and neat un-bent corners. The outer surface faces show virtually zero shelf friction wear, remaining protected from environmental dust and handling via the included archival protective bag housing.
