Chaplin, who, aside from his own very successful career, launched that of his half-brother Charlie Chaplinacquired from a private collection. The photo is inscribed \"To Eleanor Grace, Very Sincerely, Sydney Chaplin\". Sydney J. Chaplin (1885-1965) is the older half-brother to actors Charlie Chaplin (1889-1977), Wheeler Dryden (1892-1957) and half-uncle to Charlie Chaplin\'s son, actor Sydney E. Chaplin (1926-2009).
