estate find ! Beautiful 3 pc lot weighing just ove 3 lbs total of three large natural quartz crystal specimens, including an amethyst cluster, a large smoky quartz cluster, and a golden/smoky quartz crystal. These are substantial display pieces with great natural color, crystal formation and character.
A standard soda can is shown in the photos for scale.
Included in the group:
Large Smoky Quartz Cluster – Impressive grouping of large smoky brown quartz crystals with natural iron/mineral staining. The crystals have strong defined faces and a rugged, untouched appearance. Best guess for origin: Brazil, possibly Minas Gerais.
Amethyst Quartz Cluster – Attractive cluster of numerous purple amethyst points over a lighter quartz/matrix base. Color ranges from pale lavender to deeper purple at the crystal tips. Best guess for origin: Brazil, likely Minas Gerais.
Large Golden/Smoky Quartz Crystal – Large individual terminated quartz crystal with warm golden-brown coloration and excellent natural form. It may be described as golden quartz, smoky quartz or possibly natural citrine; I am not representing it as confirmed natural citrine. Best guess for origin: Brazil.
Based on appearance and crystal habit, Brazil is my best estimate for the country of origin of all three pieces, but I do not have documentation establishing their original mining locality, so the origin should be considered an educated guess rather than guaranteed.
These would make excellent display specimens for a mineral collection, office, study, curio cabinet or natural-history décor.
All three specimens are included in this listing. Please examine the photographs carefully for size, coloration, natural inclusions, mineral staining and condition. These are natural mineral specimens, so irregularities, contact points and small chips may be part of their natural formation or extraction.
