2x Superfest GDR Grog/Juice Glasses 170ml Mitropa Tough German Soviet Glassware For Sale

Superfest is the legendary East German glassware developed in the 1970s and produced by VEB Sachsenglas Schwepnitz through the 1980's. Made from chemically strengthened glass, Superfest was designed for exceptional durability and resistance to breakage, making it especially popular in restaurants, bars, and public institutions throughout the former GDR. Production ended after German reunification, and surviving examples are now increasingly sought after by collectors for their distinctive minimalist design, Cold War history, and remarkable strength, being between 5x and 15x stronger than untreated glass.

This purchase includes two glasses similar to those shown. These are the grog/juice glasses, a harder to find variety. When I purchased them they were listed as Juice/wine glasses, but I have also seen them described as for hot beverages. They have a heavy bottom and the trademark thin rim and walls of Superfest. My assessment is these may be considered "A" grade or just below. There are a few scratches and scuffs but nothing large, and definitely no cracks or chips. Please examine the photos carefully.
