Vintage New York Times printing/production plates dated Thursday, July 4, 1991, offered together as a lot of two.

These came from the personal collection of an individual who worked for The New York Times, giving the pieces particularly interesting newspaper-industry provenance.

Included:

* Declaration of Independence plate — reproduction of the Declaration with “In Congress, July 4, 1776” and signatures

* American Flag plate — waving U.S. flag with “GOD BLESS AMERICA. WE LOVE YOU.” and “HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA”

* Both are headed “THE NEW YORK TIMES, THURSDAY, JULY 4, 1991”

These appear to be printing/production-related plates or proofs associated with the July 4, 1991 edition of The New York Times. I am not representing them as plates actually used on press unless that can be independently confirmed.

They show age and storage wear, including discoloration, spotting, surface marks, scratches and other imperfections. Please examine all photos closely for exact condition.
