\"BIRD FLIGHT II\" is a stunning vintage studio art pottery vase featuring expressive hand-carved sgraffito birds gliding through stylized wind and foliage. A showcase of rich natural earth tones with soft washes of ochre, tan and subtle blue-gray against exposed textured clay. Title inscribed on bottom, plus initials NELS (I think) and 1986. Textured matte body with soft gloss glaze near the rim and interior. In excellent condition with natural variations in clay texture and glaze application consistent with artisan craftsmanship.
