1980s The Glen Iris Inn Restaurant Menu Letchworth State Park Castile New York For Sale

Original Vintage 1980s The Glen Iris Inn Restaurant Menu Letchworth State Park Castile New York
The Glen Iris Inn began as a house built by Alva Palmer in 1828 on the cliff above the Middle Falls of the Genesee River. William Pryor Letchworth, born in 1823 to a Quaker family, first saw the site in 1858 and bought the property in February 1859, naming his estate Glen Iris for the rainbow thrown by the spray of the falls and hiring landscape architect William Webster to lay out the grounds. Letchworth bequeathed the roughly 1,000-acre estate to New York State, and after his death on December 12, 1910 it became the heart of Letchworth State Park. The house opened as a public inn in 1914, when the dining room was enlarged and twelve guest rooms and four bathrooms were added, with Charles Baeder as its first innkeeper; it has received park guests ever since.
It measures 13\" x 6.25\" closed and 18.75\" x 13\" open.
