1975 Dr. Doom RC BROWN/TAN-BACK Topps 1st Print Test Variation PSA 8 SP Rookie:
$19995.95

PSA does NOT differentiate between the different set variations for 1975 Topps Marvel Comic Book Heroes. CGC does, however, label this detail and so below are statistics pulled from that Pop Report as a general proxy.

The \"brown-back\" (as CGC indicates) aka \"tan-back\" (more commonly referred to as) versions are a high value-add variation for high-end collectors, due to being:

a.) original first print versions of these cards

b.) demonstrated short-print scarcity of less than 1/10th the standard/retail white-back version

CGC Comic Heroes Total Graded - 863

Brown/Tan Back - 63 (7.3%)

Acetate Test - 127 (14.7%)

** Copyright Variant - 212 (24.5%)

CGC Dr. Doom Total Graded - 42

Brown/Tan Back - 3 (7.1%)

Acetate Test - 5 (11.9%)

** Copyright Variant - 9 (21.4%)

Of the prior 22 graded copies (PSA/CGC/SGC) of this 1975 Dr. Doom RC/1st Appearance sold between 7/23-10/7/2026, only 1 was a brown/tan-back variation, and it sold for a meaningful multiple premium.

Serious offers only.
