Original Watercolor - "Russian Village Street with Blue Pond"Signed 1974
Original watercolor painting by Nikolai Andronov (1929-1998),one of the most important Russian artists of the second half of the 20th century and founder of the "Severe Style".
The painting depicts a quiet village street with a large reflective pond in the foreground, wooden log houses, a rustic fence, and typical rural details.
The cool blue-green tones of the water create a calm, lyrical atmosphere characteristic of Andronov"s landscape works.
