This rare hard-to-find 1969 Shelby County TN Civil Defense Agency fall out shelter oversized map guide will make a great addition to your collection. It features a large oversized format that measures 11\"x17\" when closed with an yellow outer cover including high contrast imprint & 15 map graphics detailing emergency shelter locations throughout the city of Memphis, Tennessee & surrounding community / area. It was originally provided / distributed as a supplement to The Commercial Appeal newspaper on Sunday, May 18, 1969. • Approximate weight is 4.6 ozs
• Measures approximately.125\" x 11\" x 17\" when closed
• Condition: In AS-IS pre-owned vintage used condition with HEAVY WEAR including heavy staining & discoloring on all pages inside and outside, the edges of the paper cover & pages have heavy wear with rips, tears, cuts, flocking, fraying, soft corners/edges, creases, folds, dents and overall heavy wear; the overall form of the binding no longer lays flat and is bent/warped/bowed with creases; the paper inside and outside has wrinkling, creases, folds, worn down margins/edges/corners; there are stains on all paper surface inside and outside including large blocks of dark brown discoloring on the pages, ink stains on the corners of the pages, the paper has yellowed/browned due to oxidation/elemental exposure, faded imprint, imprint/ink voids, smudges, smearing; the yellow paper cover has heavy wear all over the surface and edges/corners with dark stains, water / liquid marks/stains, scuffing, scratches, loose bits of ripped paper on the binding edge, the metal staples have oxidized with tarnish/rust, fingerprints, dark blotchy areas where ink has rubbed off onto the surface and heavy wear; and overall heavy wear including dirt, dust, grime, splatter marks, stains, loose fibers/lent, mildew marks, moisture exposure, cuts, tears, rips, dented impressions on the surfaces, flocking, creased/folded corners, wrinkling, fading, discoloring and HEAVY OVERALL WEAR FROM AGE AND HANDLING ON ALL SURFACES INSIDE AND OUTSIDE.
