If you collect vintage menus, here's something that you'll love. It's a menu from Marie Schreiber's Coffee Shop in the Hollenden Househotel located in Cleveland, Ohio. This coffee shop was located adjacent to the hotel, and hotel guests could use this menu to order room service from the restaurant. The offerings were changed from day to day. This menu has the preprinted date of Thursday, December 21, 1967. Among the Specialties available that day were Boiled Beef in the Pot, Sauerbraten, and Shirred Eggs with Swiss Cheese & Kippered Snacks. A Coke cost 15 cents, Mincemeat Pie was 55 cents, and you could have a Shrimp Cocktail for $1.75. The menu has a sharp horizontal crease down the center. When opened, it's 9.5" X 13" and 6.5" X 9.5" when closed. The menu is in near mint condition, with only some light handling wear from 60 years of storage and handling. A great addition to any collection of vintage menus.
