Here is an original June 1965 VINTAGE (serial number is FA) men's SCHWINN COLLEGIATE 3-speed road cruiser bicycle with 26" wheels. It is in the original and very appealing RADIANT COPPERTONE GOLD colored factory paint. This color is awesome and arguably one of the most desirable colors offered by Schwinn in the 60s! If you like UNIQUE original bikes, this may be a great bike for you. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike!
*This bike has a cool mens cruiser style frame and forks with original paint and decals, coppertone gold chainguard, (has a fresh decal) gold Schwinn cruiser style S seat, Schwinn seat post clamp, wide cruiser handlebars, Schwinn hand grips, full fenders, (have dents) Schwinn reflector bow pedals, Schwinn derailleur, chrome kickstand, and more! I got this one basically just like you see it.
*The tires are 26x1 3/8". They are vintage tires and do hold air. The bike has chrome Schwinn S-5 rims front and rear. The rear tire is a Schwinn. The front is a slightly newer replacement.
*The bike is an original THREE SPEED and the gears do operate. The hand controlled brakes are operable as well. (May need adjustment or possible cable replacement as this one has been in very long term storage)
*DIMENSIONS The stand over height is approx 29 1/4". The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 29 1/2". The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 20". The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 21 1/2". The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust
*NOTED FLAWS I got this one basically just like you see it. I LOVE the fact that this one still wears its original paint! Paint is super cool but has obvious chips scratches etc. (Priced accordingly) The chrome is shiny but is not perfect show quality. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to) If you click on any of the pics they get very large to show lots of detail. Please take a look at all pics for exact condition and email with any questions before you offer.
