1959 Atlantic City NJ Steel Pier Guidebook- Three Stooges, Frankie Avalon & More For Sale

Here's a "Souvenir Program and Guidebook" for the summer of 1959 at the Steel Pier in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The Steel Pier was already one of the largest amusement areas in the United States at that time (famous for the Diving Horse shows), but during the summer, the pier added a wide variety of attractions. This program highlights most of these added attractions. One stage had a music hall which hosted such acts as the Three Stooges, Frankie Avalon, Fabian, Ricky Nelson, the Chordettes, Jimmy Dean, and more. There was a ballroom on the pier, a submarine diving bell, Russian cars, a trained dolphin act, a General Motors exhibit, dancing waters, a movie theater, Miss America Mary Ann Mobley, and, of course, the Diving Horse, among other things. This 8.5" X 11", 16-page guidebook is a kind of map to all of the attractions on the pier. The book is in very good condition, especially considering that it's 65 years old. There are small diagonal creases on the bottom right corner of the front cover and on most of the pages, but there's no writing anywhere in the book and no missing or cut pages, and all of the pages are still firmly attached to the center staple. The photos are considered part of the description for this program. Please look at all of the photos and judge the condition for yourself before offerding or buying. A great look look at what the world was like in 1959.Sorry, no shipping outside the U.S.Thanks for reading!
