This is a fragrance made specifically for City of Paris, the San Francisco department store that stood as a city institution from 1850 until 1972, remembered for its rotunda and its Christmas tree. The building now houses Neiman Marcus. Private-label fragrances produced for department stores that no longer exist are among the harder things to find in vintage perfume, since they were made in small quantities for a single retailer and never distributed elsewhere.
