Offered here is a complete original six-card 1941 Liebig trade card set entitled “Nuttige Planten van Kongo”, translated as “Useful Plants of the Congo.”

This Dutch/Flemish-language Belgian series illustrates important agricultural and commercial plants associated with the Congo during the colonial period. Each card features colorful period artwork on the front with detailed explanatory text and Liebig advertising on the reverse.

In my opinion, the cards are approximately VG/EX to EX overall and display very nicely for their age.

Strong, vivid original colors
Very attractive overall front presentation
No major creases noticed
No major tears noticed
Light corner and edge wear consistent with age
Normal age toning and occasional light spotting on the backs

These original cards are approximately 85 years old, so normal signs of age should be expected.
