1928 University of Richmond commencement program, leather soft-cover booklet with embossed university seal and gilded lettering. Covers Class Days, Alumni Days, and Commencement exercises held June 2–5, 1928. A great piece of Richmond Virginia history.
This 9-page sewn booklet measures 5 3/4\" x 4 1/4\" and features a suede leather cover embossed with the University of Richmond seal, \"1928,\" and gilt-highlighted \"RICHMOND\" banner across the top. The program lists:
- 53 graduating men of Richmond College, with hometowns
- 54 graduating women of Westhampton College, with hometowns
- 18 graduating men of the T.C. Williams School of Law, with hometowns
- Class officers for each of the three graduating groups
- Two interior photographs of school buildings
Historical Context
The University of Richmond in 1928 comprised Richmond College (men), Westhampton College (women), and the T.C. Williams School of Law as coordinate divisions.
